London's Hottest Hotel: Heeton Concept Hotel, Hammersmith - Unbelievable!
Heeton Concept Hotel, Hammersmith: Unbelievable? Let's Dive In (and I'm NOT holding back…)
Okay, alright, buckle up buttercups, because we're about to dissect the mighty Heeton Concept Hotel in Hammersmith. "Unbelievable!" they shout. Well, I've been there, done that (slept there, anyway), and I'm ready to give you the unvarnished truth, the good, the bad… and the slightly baffling. This ain't your polished travel brochure, folks.
First Impressions: Hammersmith Hustle & a Hint of Glam
Location, location, location, right? Hammersmith is a great base, easy access to the tube, a buzzing local scene… and Heeton is smack-bang in the middle of it. Getting there? Easy peasy. Accessibility: A big tick for the elevator, important for, well, everyone frankly. But, I gotta say, it felt a teensy bit cramped. Still, a HUGE advantage for anyone needing wheelchair access. I didn't personally need it, but seeing the commitment to this is always a good start. Score!
Now, let's be real. The "concept" part? Yeah, that keeps you guessing. The decor is… modern. That’s the polite way to put it. It's certainly stylish, but not in a way that immediately screams "cosy". More like “designed by someone who really loves straight lines and a monochrome palette.”
The Rooms: Where the Real Talk Begins (and My Wi-Fi Struggle)
Okay, available in all rooms: Air conditioning? Check. Free Wi-Fi? YES! … mostly. That’s where the love story takes a tiny tumble. Wi-fi [free] is plastered everywhere, and the hotel does a good job of providing Internet and Internet access – wireless, however, I had some moments (read: an hour of frustrated groaning) where the signal was more “phantom” than functional. A minor blip, or a major first-world problem? Depends on how crucial your Instagram updates are. The Internet access – LAN offers a backup? Sure. But who uses LAN in 2024?!
My room itself? Pretty darn comfortable. Extra long bed? Bless you, Heeton. As someone who has legs for days, this is a HUGE win. Blackout curtains? Another win! Slept like a baby. The shower was excellent (good water pressure is a MUST), though the separate shower/bathtub felt like a tad overkill. Bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries – all the trimmings to make you feel slightly pampered. Then there’s the coffee/tea maker. Crucial. A mini bar to tempt your wallet (I succumbed). Safe/security feature (always a good feeling) and desk. The mirror was large and well-lit, which is essential for, you know, hair.
The room decorations? Subtle, maybe a little impersonal. It's clean, everything works, you can wake-up service if you need it, there’s a telephone… It's a well-oiled machine. But whether it actually felt like home? Not quite. But hey, a hotel is a hotel, not your actual home, right?
Dining & Drinking: Fueling the Hammersmith Adventure
Alright, food! Restaurants are on offer. Let's begin with Breakfast. The Breakfast [buffet] was decent. They had a Western breakfast, but I craved something more. I hoped for more unique options. It was okay, and they provided the Asian breakfast which was great. Options! The Asian cuisine in restaurant, hmm. I didn't see it. The Coffee/tea in restaurant was very good. Now there’s a Bar. I spent an hour there on a Sunday afternoon. They had a Happy hour. They had a poolside bar, I liked the Poolside bar, I liked spending an afternoon there. You can get a Bottle of water and some Snack bar goodies. I was happy! Desserts in restaurant I didn't try. Soup in restaurant I didn't see. A la carte in restaurant was available, I didn't order. Room service [24-hour] is available.
Relaxation & Rejuvenation: The Spa of Dreams (Maybe?)
Okay, this is the part that piqued my interest. The Spa! The prospect of some serious zen… the Sauna, Steamroom and, most importantly, the Swimming pool. Now, I love a good pool. The Pool with view? Yes, please! Unfortunately, the pool wasn't quite as dramatic or expansive as I imagined. It was lovely, but not quite "Instagrammably breathtaking." Still, a definite bonus.
Things to do is always a plus. I didn't go for the Body wrap or Body scrub, and they had a Fitness center I didn't try, either. But it was available!
Cleanliness & Safety: Feeling Safe in a Crazy World
Right, in these times, this matters. And Heeton gets a solid "thumbs up" for the Cleanliness and safety. A whole bunch of features and initiatives! Anti-viral cleaning products, Daily disinfection in common areas, and Rooms sanitized between stays – all fantastic. Hand sanitizer everywhere. They have cashless payment service and staff trained in safety protocol. Makes you feel like you're being looked after. Though, it's a little bit jarring to see people running around cleaning things ALL THE TIME. I mean, it is comforting; you just can't completely escape the feeling that you're trapped in a giant, meticulously cleaned petri dish. Don't get me started on the Shared stationery removed.
Services & Conveniences: The Little Things Matter
Daily housekeeping? Yes, please. Concierge? Helpful and friendly. Laundry service and dry cleaning are available. There’s a Convenience store. The Doorman was always helpful. Elevator is amazing! Facilities for disabled guests were appreciated! Gift/souvenir shop is there. And the Luggage storage was super helpful.
Getting Around: Navigating London's Labyrinth
Airport transfer is available! I didn't need it, but it’s comforting to know. Car park [free of charge]? Nope. Car park [on-site]? Yes, for a fee, as you'd expect in London.
For the Kids: Family Fun (Possibly)
Babysitting service? They offer it. Family/child friendly? I didn't see any screaming toddlers, so score!
In Summary: Heeton Concept Hotel - Worth the Hype (Mostly!)
So, is Heeton Concept Hotel "Unbelievable"? Well, it's not quite the earth-shattering, mind-blowing experience the marketing might suggest. But it is a solid, well-run hotel in a great location. A safe bet for a comfortable stay. The friendly staff, clean rooms, and the general efficiency of the place make it a great choice.
My Honest Verdict: It's a good hotel. A reliable hotel. A pretty good hotel. Just don’t expect a life-altering experience.

Bunny's Oceanfront Paradise: Vinhomes Ocean Park Dream Home!
Okay, buckle up buttercups, because this ain't your grandma's itinerary. We're going to the Heeton Concept Hotel - Luma Hammersmith. Sounds posh, right? We'll see about that. This is not going to be a perfectly curated travelogue. Just a messy, honest, and hopefully hilarious account of my trip. Let's get this bread.
Day 1: Arriving in London – Where's My Bloody Charger?
- 10:00 AM: Arrive at Heathrow. Ugh. Airports. Smells like desperation and lukewarm coffee. My flight was delayed. Of course, it was. That's just my luck. First impressions of London: Rain. Surprise, surprise.
- 11:30 AM: Attempt to navigate the tube. "Mind the Gap." More like "Mind the overwhelming sense of claustrophobia and the questionable hygiene of the handrails." Seriously, Londoners, what's with the tiny, uninviting escalators?
- 12:30 PM: Arrive at the Heeton Concept Hotel - Luma Hammersmith. Okay, it does look pretty stylish from the outside. All sleek lines and minimalist chic. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – a small victory in this chaotic beginning.
- 1:00 PM: The Room: Clean. Minimalist. A little…sterile. Where’s the character? Where's the soul? And most importantly – WHERE IS THE BLOODY PHONE CHARGER?! (Turns out, it's in the suitcase I checked. Brilliant.) Immediately, I’m already judging, but in a fun, observational way.
- 1:30 PM: Unpack and attempt to connect to Wi-fi. This is always the true test. Success! But then…the battery on my phone decides to give up. The irony isn't lost on me.
- 2:00 PM: A quick bite at the hotel cafe (because I'm starving and haven't eaten since the stale airline biscuit). Standard hotel fare. Edible. I spot a couple looking way too loved-up, and I make a mental note to NEVER be that couple.
- 3:00 PM: Stumble out of the hotel, disorientated. First impressions of Hammersmith: Not the prettiest area. But it's raining, so the grey gloom is probably enhancing everything.
- 3:30 PM: Head down the street to find a proper pub. The first one I see looks promising. It's called "The Old Packhorse," and has a sign saying "Real Ale." Well, alright then…
- 3:45 PM: Observe the pub. Notice a group of older men playing darts. I'm captivated. The atmosphere is fantastic and I can see how someone could easily get sucked into this community. That isn't really "me" though.
- 4:00 PM: Order a pint. I hate beer. Still, gotta experience the whole "pub" thing. It's…bitter. But the atmosphere is making up for it, to be honest.
Day 2: London Exploration (The Good, The Bad, and the Tube)
- 9:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel. Standard. Scrambled eggs that look like they were made by a particularly unenthusiastic robot. I contemplate ordering room service so I didn't have to interact with any people until I realized I can't afford it.
- 10:00 AM: Attempt to conquer the Tube again. This time, I'm armed with a pre-downloaded map and a steely resolve. It almost works! Almost. Someone bumped me, and I nearly lost my balance. Welcome to London, I guess.
- 11:00 AM: Buckingham Palace. "Wow." The "wow" is mostly due to the sheer number of tourists. I join the madness. It does look rather impressive, though. I wonder what the Queen is doing right now… probably judging me.
- 12:00 PM: Picnic in Hyde Park. Okay, London, you've redeemed yourself slightly. The park is surprisingly lovely, and the sun even dares to peek out. I find a nice grassy spot, only to be immediately attacked by a flock of overly confident pigeons.
- 1:00 PM: Lunch, a sandwich bought from a nearby cafe. Not bad, but a bit pricey. The price of convenience, I suppose.
- 2:00 PM: Visit the British Museum. I'm not normally a museum person (gets boring fast), but this place is vast! I go straight to the Rosetta Stone. It's impressive. Then, I get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of exhibits. My feet ache. I need coffee.
- 4:00 PM: Get hopelessly lost trying to find a coffee shop near the museum. Finally give up and just buy a dreadful, overpriced latte from a generic chain place. It tastes of regret.
- 5:00 PM: Head back to the hotel via the Tube. More crowds. More jostling. I start to feel like a sardine in a can.
- 6:00 PM: Back at the hotel. Collapse on the bed. My feet are killing me.
- 7:00 PM: Dinner at a local Thai restaurant near the hotel. Delicious! Red curry, perfectly spiced. Finally, something that truly felt like a win.
Day 3: The Theatre, the River, and a Whole Lot of Walking
- 9:00 AM: Another breakfast. Eggs are still robot-like. I have a theory: the hotel food is being secretly manufactured by aliens.
- 10:00 AM: A riverside walk. Finally, some fresh air! The Thames is…well, it's a river. The views are decent. I watch a boat go by, and I think about how much I would like to own a boat. Then I remember the boat maintenance costs and quickly dismiss that idea.
- 11:00 AM: I'm determined to explore. I keep walking. I notice how much the architecture is different from city to city.
- 12:00 PM: Lunch at a "gastropub." The food is amazing. I begin, for the first time in the trip, to feel a sense of contentment.
- 2:00 PM: Get lost. I am constitutionally incapable of navigating without a map, even when the map is right in my hand.
- 3:00 PM: I go to the theatre. I've booked a play. I had to. London is known for its theatre.
- 4:00 PM: Arrive early at the theatre. I want to avoid more mishaps.
- 4:30 PM: People-watch. This is a great opportunity to make judgments. The theater is packed. I sit and wonder if the play is any good.
- 5:00 PM: Watch the play. I'm not going to spoil for you, but I was very happy.
- 8:00 PM: Dinner. I don't have any more energy to go anywhere. Plus, I'm exhausted.
- 10:00 PM: Bed.
Day 4: Departure – Back to Reality
- 9:00 AM: Check out from the hotel. Overall, the Hedon Hotel - Luma Hammersmith was…fine. Not amazing. Not terrible. A perfectly adequate base of operations.
- 9:30 AM: Take one last look at the city.
- 10:00 AM: Head back to the airport.
- 12:00 PM: Land.
- 1:00 PM: The end.
Alright, so there you have it. My London adventure in all its messy glory. It wasn't perfect. Far from it. But it was real. And I wouldn't trade it for anything (except maybe a working phone charger). Goodbye, London! Until next time, and hopefully fewer pigeons.
